That is what the University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) is setting out to discover in what is being described as the UK’s first hospital-wide evaluation of AI effectiveness across patient groups.

According to UHL’s official press release, the Trust is conducting a first-of-its-kind trial with AI developer Aival. The study will assess how well AI performs for different patient populations, including diverse ethnic and age groups.
